Hello Shipmates & Wives,

    I’m looking forward to seeing and spending time with you. I believe we’re going to have a wonderful time. The activities are going to be real fun!! The dinner is going to be great and I have a pleasant surprise planned for you that I think you will enjoy. I truly believe you’ll leave Mobile remembering what a GOOD time you had. I’m real excited about it!

    Don’t forget to bring any old items you have laying around for the raffle, if you have anything. If not, that’s okay too. I have made several Kawishiwi items that I’m going to donate. Also, I was under the impression that most of you liked doing the gifts (Brown Bag) so get a small gift. Don’t spend a lot, maybe four or five dollars, or what ever you feel like. It’s fun to do these things and everyone enjoys it. I know I do.

    Now to a little business. I urge you to make your reservations at the hotel as soon as you can. Also, as soon as you can, to send me your registration fees. ($175.00 per person) We are only three months out and I really need some kind of idea of attendance. Everything we do depends on attendance.

    If anyone just wants to do the reunion and dinner, call or e-mail me and we will set it up to fit your needs.

    For those of you that have never attended a Kawishiwi reunion before I must tell you we have a GREAT time together! Whether you served with someone or not the camaraderie is there! You will leave having met new shipmates, but chances are you will know someone there. I urge you to attend. It will be a great experience for you, and more memories of the Mighty K.

    Shipmates, if you haven’t sent in your dues ($25.00) yet, I would sure appreciate it and I certainly can use them. Thanks.

    Well I guess this about covers it all. I hope I haven’t forgotten anything. You can refer to the last letter or go to the Kawishiwi web site for our planned activities. This will be the last letter I will send out. Should you need a copy of the first letter let me know. If you have any questions please call me or e-mail me.

    Again, I’m looking forward to seeing all of you. I know we are going to have a good time together. So, until I see you in September Gods’ blessings on each of you.
