I"M BACK!!!!!!!!!
Just read all the input. It
seems that most are saying that whatever I think about the 05
reunion would be okay. Please let everyone know that I have or
will have no part in the decision making of where the 05 reunion
is held. I am leaving it strictly in the hands of the members.
I will abide with what the membership wants.
I truly appreciate all the good
comments from everyone. I tried very hard to have a good reunion. I
wanted each person to have a great time, and my plans was to make that
happen! Needless to say that I was very, very disappointed when mother
nature threw a spanner wrench in my plans! It was all coming together
so well.
One good thing has happened
from this, and that is I have made new and wonderful friends. Some that
I have never met. As you have read I had minimal damage. Believe me
that was not luck! That was the grace of God! God is good! Now that I
am up and running, I'll be getting your registration fees back to you.
Just bear with me for a few days.
To each of you I'm so
disappointed for you, as I know you were looking forward to visiting
our fine city and spending time with your shipmates. I had
nothing less than the best planned for you. ( Man, the good food you
all missed!!)The ones that did make it here will tell you that Mobile
is a fine city filled with good people. Thanks to each of
you for your support in making your plans to attend the 11th. reunion.
Thanks to Bill Alford and his
wife, Diane for there support and prayers as we weathered the
storm. They became great friends. Also, to Melvin Tyler who kept
us all in laughter with his 'sea stories'.
Vern, has took on the job of acting secterary/treasure, so
I'm turning over all monies to him. I didn't have to put up any 'front
money' so all the money is here. To all, smooth sailing and Gods speed
to each of you.
