Aloha E Gardner died on November 24, 2002. Born January 22, 1927, Gardner was 75 years old and lived in West Seattle, WA


Sorry to hear that. I had also tried to cal him. The last time I called him he had planned to make this next reunion. He was a character. Robert Taylor 3-10-2003


He was quite a guy. I never knew his name was Aloha. Some of his charges might have thought that amusing. Of course he was always just plain old "Gardner" or "Bos'n Gardner" to me. But he did indeed command the respect not only of the young pups under his glare, but the officer corps as well. And talk about language that could make a sailor blush -- well, nuff said. I'm sorry to learn of his passing. Another true sailor bites the dust. Chuck Lamb 3-10-2003

Sorry to hear about Gardner.  About three years ago I said I would stop by to see him. I
